Notification of an important service which Agenzia Appogg is providing with regards to safer Internet use.

Dear Subscriber

We hereby wish to inform you of an important service which Agenzia Appogg is providing with regards to safer Internet use.

Appogg, is a well known agency in Malta providing a variety of useful Social Services.

Appogg and the Ministry for Investment, Industry, and Information Technology together with the Police Cyber Crime Unit and Internet Service Providers, are collaborating in an effort to reduce the abuse of children over the Internet.

On an International front, Appogg is a member of INHOPE, an organisation dedicated to safer Internet use and coordinating numerous such initiatives in many countries.

This is obviously a mammoth task and it is best achieved with the collaboration of every Internet user.

For this reason, should any individual using the Internet ever come across images, internet chatting or other material featuring or intending the abuse of children, we kindly ask you to report this to Appogg by means of the new HOTLINE service.

In such an event, one may either call Supportline 179 for further assistance or one may also use the online reporting facility on the Appogg Website as follows:

Anonymity and privacy are also honored so please do not hesitate to report such issues since the intention of all this effort is to eliminate the sources of such material.

The above Website also contains other useful information.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
